We tried fishing the Au Sable River the day before our visit and came home empty handed. So, when we had the opportunity to fish and take home a few trout without even cleaning them it was a no brainer. Educational and fun!

There's not much in the area to do, but this is worth the stop on the way up north. We got a family season pass for $20 which was good until Labor Day (we bought it in late August so it was good for about...More

Have been here more than a few times and children to grandparents enjoyed visiting. Make sure to buy the fish food and watch the fish jump for it.

I brought my husband here during our visit to the Grayling area, and he loved it. For $1 you get a big bag of fish food pellets to throw into the raceways and watch the trout fight over. The littler fish swarm the food and...More

The Grayling Fish Hatchery is a great find in Grayling to spend an afternoon, especially with younger kids. Prices are super cheap to get in too. This would be a great spot to spend a few hours of your afternoon with the family!

Stopped in on a whim and it was the best money we spent so far! All kids ages 7/11/16 had a blast, we fed fish and each kid caught 2 rainbow trout as well. Definitely worth the time!

Visited the hatchery this past Saturday. We were camping near by and wanted to find something that our kids 5,4 and 3 would enjoy. There is admission to get into the hatchery which was disappointing since the hatchery in Oden, near Petoskey does not. Fortunately...More

If you go and spend the $4 to get in, spend $1 more to get the bag of fish food. The trout will eat like crazy. Don't forget to toss pellets into the actual river where you can see HUGE trout feeding as well. There...More

Visited the Grayling Fish Hatchery with my wife. We enjoyed walking around and looking at the fish being raised. There were small trout to large trout by the hundreds. Was informed they are being raised for food not for stocking rivers and streams. The staff...More
