Strange but a bit interesting

Wasn't anything to drive way out of way to see but if in the area worth looking it up. It's just a strange collection of stuff arranged around in a yard. There were no trespassing... read more

I visited here after eating at the Polish Cafe and it was bad! It was boring, ugly, and tiny. There were men working on it when I visited, but still. I was expecting something big (kinda hard not to when the word 'Disneyland' is in the title), when it was just an elaborate art installation in a house's backyard. Definitely... More

I felt a bit weird when my friend told me that we had Disneyland close by. You go thru an alley to get to it. Someone very talanted made it very interesting. Kids loved it too. It needs alot of work still.

Hopefully it gets a makeover as it is kinda sad. Not a lot to look at. I'm sure in its heydey it was really nice but not now. Seeing all the positive reviews I was expecting something else, like more items and not so "abandoned". Very unique though! The two houses pictured are both part of this attraction, and you... More

We went here last year for the first time on a walking tour of Hamtramck and just revisited this past weekend. The owner/artist has since passed away and the home had recently been listed. Not sure what the status of that is but it was clear that there was some work going on here, and that is a reassuring sign.... More

I almost skipped this one. The artist passed away recently, and Hamtamck Disneyland seems to be in transition for the moment. Some renovation plans are in the works but for the moment, you can't enter the yard to see the installation up close. Right now you can only view it from the alley. I was worried we wouldn't be able... More

This place has been around since I was little I remember my dad taking me here as a kid and I used to get so excited cuz every year the gentleman who built it put something new. I now take my children here to see this handmade made Disney Land. I was very sad to find out that the gentleman... More

Wasn't anything to drive way out of way to see but if in the area worth looking it up. It's just a strange collection of stuff arranged around in a yard. There were no trespassing signs so not really sure if you should plan on walking in. It does look as if it may be falling apart a bit. Anyway... More

Not a huge sight to see, but glad we stopped. It's actually in a back lane, so it's a bit untraditional. The lady at one of the local shops told us it's basically what happens when a guy retires and he creates his own hobby.

It is a quick stop, very unique! Owner passed away so it may not be there for much longer. Great for a few pictures.

This is a rare experience to view local artist where it was created - artist's backyard. We were lucky to meet the artist... at the place
