This sand is amazingly fine, no debris. The dunes are moving so take the time to walk up the disappearing stairs and check it out.

I think they call it Sleeping Bear because compared to Silver Lake Sand Dunes they are so boring it puts you to sleep. This place is beautiful. You can ride/rent dune buggies/ATV/ranger and go for a fun ride. Beautiful sunsets.

We ride down here on road bikes in teh summer from Ludington. It's a nice 70 mile out and back with water at the state park and a break at the lighthouse.
