One of Michigan's best gems is the Cherry Bowl Drive-In Theater! It is a must go to each summer for us when we stay on Platte Lake. When our kids were younger, we used to get there very early, play putt-putt, have them play on the playground and just take in the fun of it all. We still get there... More

This is a very nice drive in, it only shows up to PG, it has a very good food outlet, best to turn up early to get a good spot, but be prepared to wait a long time for the movie to start,

Maybe one of the last surviving drive-ins in Michigan? They sell t-shirts, let you in many hours early for the kids to play around, and actually play recent movies! The first one was for the kids, the second more toward adults, but suitable for kids. I remember as a kid I would fall asleep after the first movie, probably the... More

We live in this area so a trip to the drive in is always fun. It's just my husband and I as we have no children but always enjoy our time here. Love that it's completely family-friendly and **woofer** friendly. Puppers are allowed here and even allowed have a section towards the back for the muttlies to do the deed.... More

First time ever being in a drive-in theater and I loved it! Easy to go to, priced decently (10 each for two movies for adults) and very quaint. We saw The Secret Lives of Pets and Ghostbusters (2016) which were both pretty good and appropriate for a general admission theater. You get a bit irritated about people flashing their lights... We've vacation in northern Michigan the past few years. A visit to the Cherry Bowl Drive-In has become a requested tradition. 2 movies, first after dusk, so it does get a little late. But there a few places like this so I recommend. Please don't take babies, though. If they fuss, it not only distract you but also everyone else... More

I don't think you can be in this part of northern Michigan without spending an evening at the Cherry Bowl! Such a classic! The original drive in jingles, a cartoon before the show starts..really priceless. I took 4 teenagers (18-19 yr olds) - two that had never been to a drive in before and they had a blast! Yes, the... Love it! Like being a kid again. Concession stand prices are a little high but still worth the experience.

This is more than a drive-in movie theatre. It's a travel through time. 50's décor, 50's music and commercial jingles playing on the sound boxes, and 50's commercials playing on the big screen before the movie begins. There's an adequate playground and miniature golf. The concession stand had lots of variety for very reasonable prices, however we didn't find the... More

We went to a double feature. Got there at 7:30 to learn first film didn't start until 10 p.m. because it's not dark enough before then. Cost was $10 per head. There is play equipment and for an extra fee you can fill the wait time with putt-putt (miniature golf) with unlimited rounds. Refreshments were reasonably priced. We did have... More
