Spent almost two hours in this museum. Even if you haven’t a great knowledge of geology the exhibits explain a lot in layman’s terms. The gift shop is lovely.

My husband and I have visited this place twice and plan to go again. The first time we saw it, the museum inside was closed but we walked around outside in the "rock garden" to view the specimens, including the giant copper boulder under the...More

A area "gem." From talks with experts, this is probably the fifth best mineral collection in the world! I know nothing about minerals, but I do know this, it is really interesting surrending 2-4 hours there. If you're a resident, you should feel embarrassed if...More

This is a fantastic place. Beautiful exhibits including many mineral samples and lots of information on the copper industry in the area. Don't miss the fluorescent room, spectacular.

Stopped in to warm up and realized I need to make a second trip. If you go with friends who aren’t rock hounds, bring a second vehicle so you can stay longer.

This mineral museum showcases incredible minerals specimens not only copper minerals from the region, but from around the world. It's always a treat to enter and to be in awe of the beauty of so many specimens. Easy parking.

Was well worth the stop during our weekend in the UP. Would recommend. Only $8 per person. Not a spot for small children.

We walked around the outside area for free. Looked at the rock specimens in the outdoor garden area, saw the huge piece of copper outside. There is an admission to go into the museum in the gift shop. We did not go into the museum.

Spent two hours going through the museum. Most interesting to see all of the minerals...most we had never heard of before.
