Welcome to The Henderson Castle, the most popular inn in Kalamazoo. Whether you're local or coming from Grand Rapids, Detroit, Lansing, South Bend or Chicago, you'll find us to be the best destination for your anniversary, birthday, wedding, graduation or romantic getaway. Situated in the historic West Main Hill neighborhood, you're minutes away from the theatres, shopping and vibrant night life of downtown Kalamazoo, but secluded enough to enjoy a quiet night free from the noise of the city. When you're with us, you'll have a royal experience. Wake up to an incredible breakfast prepared by our French chef François Moyet. Get a massage, facial or manicure in our day spa. Soak in our rooftop hot tub while taking in the best view of downtown Kalamazoo that's available. Stay for dinner at our restaurant and indulge in the finest French food southwest Michigan has to offer. Why settle for a hotel - instead experience luxury fit for a King or Queen. Visit us for a Tour and wine tasting and experience the History of the Castle and the life of the Henderson's.. In addition to the inn, restaurant and spa, we offer a banquet hall and ball room that can accomodate ceremonies, corporate meetings, holiday parties, family events, baby showers and more. Our lodging is available per night, for a weekend or could even be arranged for extended stay. Our daily tours, princess tea parties, murder mystery dinner party and high tea are fun things to do in Kalamazoo. If you'd like to book a room, make dinner reservations or just have a question, don't hesitate to contact us. The Henderson Castle Inn is here for every type of guest. Relax in our ADA accessible guest room, the Library Room, featuring an accessible shower with grab bars & handheld shower-head. A ramp wraps around the rear of the Castle and can be accessed by using the Gallery entrance to allow accessibility to the 1st floor. Unfortunately the 2nd and 3rd floors can be accessed by stairs only. While the restaurant is located primarily on the 1st floor, events are sometimes scheduled in the 3rd floor Ballroom.

We have been to Henderson Castle multiple times - have hosted birthday dinners there along with date nights and even gifted my parents an overnight package with in room massage. Unique experience each time and love the little gift shop too.

We came to Kalamazoo for the weekend. Stayed here on a Saturday. Was expecting something quaint and eclectic. Our room was interesting. We stayed in the “Tibetan” room. The bed was very squeaky. The mattress seemed to funnel towards the middle. The shower head was...More

We had a large group for the shower, held indoors as weather was very warm. Lovely location, a beautiful vintage victorian home on the crest of a hill. Late summer time and many blooming flowers added to the tea party theme. The tea food left...More

A weekend stay at this Castle evokes many surprises. Although I was disappointed to not feel the presence of the famed ghosts, I was enthralled with the gilded nature of the many historic rooms and splendid service. Our room "Dutch" was the bedroom of Mary...More

You could not be more correct - the owner is arrogant and thinks he does no wrong. He never addresses actual complaints, he just brags about how the business is growing and how hard his staff tries. I stayed for one night... More

I have driven by the "Castle" and enjoy the looks of this building. Have considered staying here for a weekend trip, wife and I enjoy B & B stays. So today I am reading the reviews and most seem pretty positive, with a few negative reviews thrown in. After reading the first review I was pretty impressed that the owners responded to a negative review. So I thought they were interested in their image and cared for their customers. But after reading a few more reviews, I noticed that the personal response from the owners was the same as before. Matter of fact, all the responses are just one that has been copied and pasted to each posting. No personal attention to the reviews left by their customers. The one where they wouldn't take care of the mother who purchased the Guest House 7 months in advance blew my mind. How could a professional B&B cancel a reservation made that far in advance on such short notice. I find that after reading these reviews, I will not be staying there. Things will have to change before I try spending a weekend here. It's too bad, love the looks of the place and was looking forward to an enjoyable stay.
