Something is wrong with this place!!!! DONT GO! I cannot tell you where else to ride horses in TC but this is certainly not the place I would take my family. Couldn’t leave voice message or get him to answer for 2 weeks. No email address. My 6 year old son and I decided to drive over to see if they may take reservations in person. Yard and house run down, lots of junk surrounding his driveway. Weathered sign and horses saddled up behind the barn were the only clue that we were at the correct location. When we arrived he came out of the house, unkept, lots of missing teeth, very rude and seemed simply angry. I said ‘hi’ and that we tried to call him, apparently that was all it took to set him off. He said, ‘what do you think I do here, I don’t have time to answer messages’. I didn’t even have a chance to tell him that I couldn’t leave a message for 2 weeks because his phone isn’t accepting messages. Then he started yelling at me about being too busy to answer his phone, my son and I left. I wouldn’t trust his judgement to keep us safe on his horses. I couldn’t tell if he was under the influence, had psych issues or just an angry person but I would rather never ride a horse again if it had to be with this person. Certainly wouldn’t trust my family near this guy.

Left messages and called multiple times a day for a couple days in a row with no response. Finally called and got an answer with an extremely rude response. Unnecessary attitude right off the back and zero people skills. Do not give them your business. I have been to 3 different places that offer the same experience with zero customer service issues. I did not go because of the horrible experience I had trying to give them my business.

Absolutely do not advise using this place. We go horseback riding a lot on vacation and it was my birthday and wanted to go. I made him infuriated simply asking if helmets were sanitized between clients. Then he asked my 12 year to get on first. She has only been on a horse twice and both instructors before told her both hands on the reigns. She was confused to why he said one hand only and literally started screaming at her saying, “DON’T YOU UNDERSTAND ENGLISH?!” My daughter nearly burst into tears. We immediately intervened and my husband told him no one speaks to our daughter like that. I got her off the horse and we left. Meanwhile he continued to scream at us saying to get off his property. Do not take your children here. It’s very unclean and he certainly doesn’t know how to treat people.

Excellent ride with Doug. Horses are probably the best cared for of any riding stable I've ever been to. Beautiful country, well worth it. Be sure to call ahead or email to get a reservation. You only go out with your group & not put in with other riders so times book up quickly. I'm looking forward to going back!

We did a one hour trail ride and we had a lovely, relaxing ride. The horses were gentle and very experienced on the trails. We had a great young girl guide and felt very safe & comfortable the whole time. A very enjoyable experience!

Doug and Dennis helped me and my daughter conquer our fear of horseback riding. Even better we really enjoyed the experience. The trail was beautiful. We saw butterflies and cranes, rode through forest and fields. Can’t wait to go again.

Kind of a down home place - no frills but they aren't interested in just taking you on a trail walk with horses that are swaybacks.
We were given the option on open space to ride in a gallop which we did and it was a blast. I'm not an experienced rider so there was a real possibility of me falling of the horse but fortunately I didn't. I've been horseback riding like this 8 or 9 times over the years and I've never had a place give me the choice on how to ride. I'll definitely go back. Thanks to Scott (hope I remember his name right) and Bailey for taking us out. Below it asks is a gratuity suggested at this attraction. At no time did they suggest or even expect it as far as I know but I wanted to give them a tip for their time and effort.

My husband and I enjoyed a 1 hour ride on Buck and Harley. As other reviewers have said, when you first pull up you may think you are in the wrong place, but you're not. If no one is there, grab a seat. They will be back soon. The trails were lovely through fields and woods and the horses and people were all fantastic. Very friendly and helpful. Be prepared with cash or check. No credit cards. There is an ATM in Lake Ann about 7 minutes away.

I have to first say, this was our second choice... first place only did weekend rides and this was a Monday...best thing to happen!!! My wife was first sceptical because this place is the real deal... awesome, authentic and real life...not commercialized. We LOVED the experience... the owner is a hoot! He was great with our 12 year old son, first time rider-put him on the Mustang- he was excited and did not want it to end; I wanted a bit more spirited ride- the owner obliged. My wife enjoyed her ride as well... we did the one hour, long enough if you have not been on a horse!... according to my my wife- now several days later! Go HERE... you will not regret it- horses were well taken care of- I teach Ag Ed so know a bit about what to look for in equine... next time- we are going for the 2 hour ride. ( fyi- this is my first ever review- had to share!!!!)

You will be greeted by Lady, a sweet border collie. We were with a gentleman, I believe it was Doug's brother, Pete. He was great in accommodating our needs. Friendly, and knowledgeable of each horse and the area. My wife, son (16), and daughter(14) rode easy going horses in a beautiful setting through meadows and woods. I have bad hips, Doug helped me off my horse, saving me plenty of embarrassment!!! By all means check these guys out -- great value!!! WILL BE BACK
