A very nice water front beach and park. A nice walk to the light house approx 1/2 mile each way. You can pay to walk to the top.

Great State Park when it isn't busy but on the weekends they really need to add additional parking and speed up the entry process, maybe add a parking area near the entrance of the trail drive just south of the main entrance? Good Camping also...More

The state park features excellent camping, Hamlin Beach, and the 1.6 mile hike out to Little Sable. Depending on what you want to do, you may be better off picking up a rental bike and riding the trail as it is a long walk for...More

Great day use facility. Nice beech with a great beech house for changing and relaxing. Gift shop, snacks. No lifeguards. We explored the nearby PACKED campground. Too many campers for our liking but it is an immensely popular camping park, including some "hike in" campsites.

It is virtually a private beach if you come on a weekday, the small entry fee must have scared everyone away. It was the best beach along the Michigan shore - smooth, clean, peaceful - with tons of room to run around and dig in...More

There are 3 campgrounds tat accommodate all types of campers including pull through. I'd go on the reservations site and fill in your info to see what's available. We saw lots of larger units!

You can rent tubes at Dunegrass Concessions at Hamlin Lake. You walk over to the river and put in just beyond the dam. The time down the river varies. If you have paddles it will go faster than if you don't!! It is a pretty... More

I did not see any tubing. You can rent kayaks. You could probably do this on your own with a drop off and a pick up. Hamlin Lake is worth checking out in Ludington State Park.
