Went for a lovely walk along the riverfront in mid-march. It was a bit chilly, but comfortable with a coat and hat. There was no one else around, so it was really peaceful. I walked back using River Street, which had lots of little local shops to browse. A great experience

Wow, the city of Manistee knew what they were doing when they put in the riverwalk. We loved it and it was a rainy day but we were able to still walk as many trees and vegetation covered us. I got some awsome pictures in the fog. Thanks for making this wonderful place for us to enjoy.

This is a nice stroll along the river. I only wish there were restaurants, bars, stores, etc accessible from the boardwalk. It is rather long and we maybe only did a quarter of it.

Pretty views on the River. Stopped in a pub overlooking the water. Nice day to enjoy now that things are opening up.
Very relaxing scenic area, was winter so cold but we come here often when traveling north. Summer has boats using the causeway and it’s cool to see the bridge lift to let the taller ships thru.

This is a family-friendly walk that is stroller and wheelchair friendly. We enjoyed nature (birds, shoreline plants) as well as the various boats along the river.

This walkway along the river starts at many areas downtown and goes to Lake Michigan. At one time it was not open all the way. The walk is an easy boardwalk path with shaded areas and ramps instead of stairs. Nice views of fishing boats coming in or people pleasure boating. At the end is a beach area and views of the lighthouse.

Nice shaded walk along the river past the small marinas. Nice to watch the boats coming and going from lake Michigan.
Big negative for us is that the walk is cut off at the city marina. I guess it needs repair.? We were here a couple years ago and it was closed then too. Supposed to be able to go all the way to the big lake. Not true.

Quiet walk with lovely little gardens along the way - lots of boats docked and just a generally pleasant way to spend a couple of hours in Manistee.

We spent part of the morning walking along the River. It was a beautiful walk with many parts shaded by overarching trees. We saw quite a few charter boats come in with fresh fish, which were being cleaned at the fish-cleaning stations near the docks. Quite a few people walking or running, and seemed like a safe area - at least on a weekday morning.
