I love walks thru the woods. This offered that with hiking part as well as stairs to get to the top at the end. The views from the top are beautiful. My son said it's a tourist trap but I don't care... would highly recommend...More

My husband and I went up to the top of Sugarloaf to take in the views we had heard about. There are 2 trails up to the top, easier and harder. We chose the harder one. The views are 360 degrees from the summit, just...More

We did this as a final activity after visiting the UP for a week. We almost skipped it and what a mistake that would have been. It turned out to be the feather in the cap of a beautiful week of exploring all things outdoors....More

A good place to hike that is right off the road. No special equipment needed. Well maintained and easy to access. The views on the day I went was foggy, but you could hear the waves crashing below and regardless, the views were great though...More

This is a beautiful view of the lake and Autumn color. However, you must be in good shape for this climb. You can choose Easy or Difficult walk. We chose the Easy but is was a steep climb with a lot of steps. In areas...More

Easy to find on the outskirts of Marquette, the trail forks early to "easy" and "difficult" versions. I'm over 80, so easy did it. I almost quit half way to the top of the 400-foot ascent, but feared being judged a sissy by my much...More

This place is beautiful. There are two choices of trails, easy and difficult. My family chose the more difficult path on the way up. It's a gradual climb with stairways along the way. The paths are nice and wide. The view is incredible! We chose...More

Had a perfect day to enjoy the walk. Lots of steps so can’t have knee issues even if you take the easy route. Wonderful view points when you reach the top. Had a picnic on our way down sitting on one of the park benches....More

Two types of trails, one easy trail and a harder rocky one. We went half way up the rocky trail and cut over to the easier trail. Nice trails for multiple types of hikers.

We climbed Sugarloaf Mountain at the suggestion of a local waitress or we'd not have thought to stop there. It isn't a bad climb unless you are unsteady on natural paths or have breathing problems but it is possible to get a little turned around...More

After conferring with my wife it was probably a 30 minute climb. We did stop a couple times on the way up for sake of the view and to catch our breath. The closer we got to the top we did slow a bit - our 14 year old, 4... More

Depends on the kind of pet doesn't it? If it's a dog, just keep it on a leash and all is well.

Amanda, I did not pay anything, and I looked for a way to pay. I think this is a free park open to the public. Enjoy!
