Was not open during advertised hours. Also dangerous bottom step causing a fall . If you want people to visit, make sure you're open when you say you are.

We were the only ones on the tour so had a personal tour. I believe it was built around 1860. You can actually get close to the exhibits. They are not roped off like most places. It was neat taking the hand mirrors and looking at the painted ceilings. It's neat how they could paint in three dimensions. I learned... More

Interesting piece of history. We were participating in the home tour, so we liked the guided tour and the background stories of the various owners.

This is an old house that was built by a man who loved the Hawaiian Islands. The motif is that of Hawaii, hence the name Honolulu House. It takes about 45 minutes to see, we received a private tour by the tour guide who was very friendly and knowlegable.

Had a great tour with Roy, and very much enjoyed our engaging discussion of Victorian era pottery. Lovely home with exquisite decor and painting. Well worth the $5 admission.

We visited Marshall on our anniversary as I had always wanted to tour the Honolulu house. I am so glad that we did! Our tourguide was so knowledgeable and attentive. She saw how much we loved the house and she gave us extra time and showed us some extra details of the artwork on the ceilings. It was all so... More

The Honolulu House is a gem in the quaint town of Marshall and completely worth visiting. We stopped in just before closing but the historian made time to give us a thorough and interesting tour. We loved viewing the one of a kind artwork throughout the home and learning about it's historical significance to Marshall and the state of Michigan.... More

Tour guide wasn't the friendliest. The house is very interesting, great history of the man who built the house and why. $5 fee. It appears they don't let people walk around, must be on tour.

Thank ktrost
