Our visit to sun temple was very nice. We had been there on 15th April and the weather was too hot ! We could have chosen a better time though ! But somehow managed it ! The engravings and the artistry was breathtaking !!! Masterpiece!

Heritage lovers should not miss to visit the Konark Sun temple. It is a very large one dedicated to Sun god and constructed on a lavish scale. But the sanctum can no more be seen as it has collapsed. A place everyone should visit.. a place with historical significance.. we took a tour guide and he charged us Rs100 for a 45 mins round with loads of knowledge about the place.

When we are talking of 13th century , we need to really get back to the era and then start appreciating what we see today . It was a stunning architecture. It was a bit crowded and got. But we didn't mind it too much. Would recommend visiting.

A majestic structure which is worth seeing. Apparently the British tried in vain to decipher the structure which crumbled the structure, they've temporarily reinstated it. The carving are intricate with sexual explicit stuff. The approach to this ancient site is so filthy with makeshift vendors, stray animals and filth.

Exquisite is the word that comes to mind on a first glance of the famous Sun temple.
