Beautiful temple, but the best thing is the city and sea view. Fantastic view of the city of Trincomalee and the Indian Ocean.

One of the must see if you are travelling on the eastern coast. This is indeed a strategic place where you can have control over eastern part of Indian Ocean as nothing in between till Andaman Sea. The view of Lovers' Leap or Ravana's Cleft is beautiful. Also walking all over naked feet is another experience. Listening the Temple Bell... More

The temple is located on top of a hill inside old Portuguese fort overlooking the sea. The ideal place to find inner peace and be alone with your thoughts. Highly recommend to visit in the evening around 7.30pm so there is almost no crowds

Got a tuk tuk to the temple which is at the top of the hill. The temple itself is very beautiful. There was a ceremony going in when we visited but we were still welcome to enter- just couldn't take photos inside the actual temple - only outside. The view of the ocean, beaches and town is amazing. We then... More

This is a hindu's religious place. And it's a wonderful place. A huge cliff is on one side to the sea. You have to go through a naval camp to reach the kovil. The history of this place is written on the walls and this is a age old place.

This temple is exactly on the land tip with sea on almost three sides. we felt very peaceful in this location and the place where Ravana statue stands the steps leading you downhill is really beyond words. One has to experience the sea breeze. The evening pooja at the temple is so ceremonial and keeps you absorbed and i just... More
