Great day trip from Detroit. Beach is long, sand is soft and clean. Close parking. Short walk to the lighthouse. Plenty of volleyball courts, and a playground. A must visit beach. The lighthouse is a short walk out on the Pier. Staff was friendly. A...More

A beautiful and clean beach with great scenery. Parking was not a problem and brought back my childhood memories of being here with my family. What you expect a beach community to be.

The kids loved the miles of sand. Water was clean enough to dip in. We walked the beach, spent a lovely few hours.

Beautiful scenery, walking out to light house was well worth the trip. The beaches were clean, plenty of amenities for a family of 4 enjoying a picnic. We were pleased to see Muskegon Police also making rounds there. Safe, clean, lovely.

I grew up in Muskegon and left 25 years ago and still visit the ovals every time I come home. Lake Michigan is beautiful.

This is a very clean and pristine beach to enjoy with your family. There is also a dog beach available for all our 4 legged friends, just south of pere marquette beach. It is all posted.

As a person who grew up close to the beach I may well be a little biased about this beach. Plenty of parking but sometimes a long walk to the water. Most areas have a lifeguard near but keep an eye on the little ones...More

I stayed at the Shoreline Inn in August and liked it so much, I didn't want to leave. There's a lot to do just in the hotel. It's about 6 miles between by bike, 30 minutes or so to ride it.
