Very extensive and interesting visit

Stuart and I were the only 2 people but the charming owner gave us a very interesting tour. The history is fascinating. Well worth a stop.

With the help of a well informed guide who spoke excellent English, this ruin from the eleventh century is beginning to offer up its secrets. Well worth a visit, and a worthy cause to support the volunteers who work hard on its archaeology. Beware the steps up the tower though. Manageable for our eighty year olds but not ideal for... Very good guided tour. With a great archeological viewpoint. You can see the development in the dig sites. The whole thing has an "unfinished" feeling, which contributes, for me, to make it more interesting.

A military castle forgotten in time but in the proces of being rediscovered. Very authentic restauration still being caried out by volunteers. You can see up close the different architectures of 12th, 14th and 16th castle building. Nice view of the valley and great guide and tour of the fortress. Follow the arrows along a small forest road and park... More
