Hard to find basic things like a boulangerie, however stunning little town to wander around. Loved the Château and the church, felt very safe. Went with our 2 kids and would recommend bringing a packed lunch as not cheap.

It would be hard to find a more beautiful French town, manicured to within an inch of its existence. You have to visit, but eat and drink before you go, some of the shop owners are kind and informative others see you as walking money. Keep your hands in your pockets and enjoy.

Lovely old buildings and beautifully maintained flowers. Lots of unpretentious eating places (crepes and waffles), great walking round the lake and through the woods and across limestone strewn moorland. Great place to stay for a couple of nights

As we strolled the streets of this quite unique little medieval town with its sturdy granite houses and bright flowers in full bloom everywhere, I couldn't help but think of Harry Potter in the little village that the magic school students were allowed to visit on occasion. I felt like one of those students wandering the alleyways in search of entertainment. I waited for something magical to explode in my face. However the magic was in the moment.…

Brittany is filled with charming towns and this is a must see—old stone buildings, painted doors and windows, lace curtains, flowers everywhere. Rambling streets leading to another charming setting around each corner. Colorful shops filled with art, pastries and candies. Rochefort en Terre is the kind of village that makes you believe in fairy tales. A trip to Brittany is not complete without a visit to this town.…
