This small church is perfect for Rochefort-en-Terre. The Gothic architecture with some Roman influence results in a charming setting. Enjoy the carved wood statues and the simple beauty of Notre-Dame-de-la-Tronchaye.

A beautiful example of a local church modified over time in different styles, from pure Gothic through to the Renaissance. Some fine painted wooden sculptures are displayed on the pillars, and an early 12th. c. (?) image of the Virgin.

Why does this get my vote for the most beautiful church I’ve seen in France? ( I’m on my 12th trip to France)! Because of the size, an intimate little church, not overwhelming... Because of the beautiful ancient wood carvings.... Because of the most beautiful stained glass windows.... Because of the wonderful music that played throughout our visit.
