Glad we made the effort to visit the bear ranch

This is not a slick tourist attraction, in fact it is quite basic, but that is part of the appeal. Oswald's is definitely worth a visit if you want to see lots of black bears of... read more

Awesome close up viewing of bears! A unique, fun experience for the whole family. Go in and have you picture taken with a cub!

The bear ranch was such a great time! We visited in June, and it was pretty hot, but still enjoyable. You were able to feed the bears with purchased apples (cheap) and the bears were entertaining and not shy of the crowds. Parking was hassle free and it was a cheap attraction for the group of 4 of us. Being... More

Way back in the country dirt roads and all. Went in early June of 16' and very cool days. You are allowed to walk around the ranch by yourselves. Watch all the adults interact with each other. You can climb up little landings and watch from above. And you can get your picture taken with a little one. They are... More

It's a wonderful to see wild bears in a refuge. There are multiple viewing locations and opportunities, on a large refuge. It's not like a zoo, with a small pen.

This is not a slick tourist attraction, in fact it is quite basic, but that is part of the appeal. Oswald's is definitely worth a visit if you want to see lots of black bears of varying shapes and sizes. We had our photo taken feeding a cub, good value at $10 with the photos taken on your own camera.... More

My cousins had taken their kids here before and they liked it so much we went back when I was with them. There's different sections for different ages of the animals and double fencing on everything so it's safe. The bears definitely have their schedules they like to keep to. We went during feeding time (afternoon) and that definitely brought... More

Wife and I stopped here during a 2016 fall color tour. The bears seemed to be in good condition and had a nice habitat. Good time

My grown son wanted to check this place out so bad. He was convinced that black bears are misunderstood creatures. Turns out he was right. This place generally closes for the season at the end of September. We were lucky enough that they stayed open into the first week of October since it was so mild. It is $20 per... More

You go in thru the gift shop, but before you do that to the left you can buy apples to feed the bears. Went first thing in the morning figuring the bears would be more lively then. First thing was to take our picture with the bear cub, we were the only ones there at the time. The guy taking... More

Had a good, safe look at bears of all sizes. Had our picture taken, petting a cub. Good sized area for observing bears.
