I have visited the museum twice and enjoyed both visit. I is a nice place to take children because it is small and most children won't get bored. The also have some hands on displays to keep them interested.

We had a nice guided tour through the museum. This really explains many things about Thomas and his background.

Our guide Dave was a wealth of knowledge & a great guy all around. This tour depicts Thomas Edison's beginnings, his family in Port Huron & the effect he had on the community. Fascinating stuff. Try to stump Dave!!

The three rating basically reflects a very neutral appraisal, based on what I could see from the outside. There were some signs around the museum giving informational tidbits. I could view the railcar and the depot from the outside only. There was a sign on the door giving the hours of operation--basically only a few hours on Saturdays and Sundays... More

Did not know that Thomas Edison lived in Port Huron. Doesn't cost much to visit the museum and it is well worth it. Convenient location next to the Double Tree Hotel.

We took some babies under 1 and there was just enough room for the stroller, the adults had more fun than the kids but there was some pretty cool stuff to see. Family admission was a good price and we learned a ton. There is a phonograph (spelling?) and you can listen to it if you ask the docent. It... More

Happened upon this small but info packed Edison Museum. Loads of info and also interactive for kids. Great video of Edison as well. Learned a great deal. I think the BEST feature was Dave, the docent there. Clearly loves his job and very knowledgeable about all things Edison. We were fortunate to have him spend one on one time with... More
