I really enjoyed visiting the Detroit zoo, but one thing you must know and remember, it is a very large this zoo. So if you have a little ones, don't forget the stroller or wagon. Don't have one? They are available to rent. My only...More

Expensive for the lack of animals out. All asleep? Really? Grounds are pretty with nice flowers but saw no big cats, bears, wolves, Very disappointing . Walked a lot but saw few animals. St Louis Zoo is still the best and doesn't charge a fee!

We were amazed by the lovely gardens at this zoo. It certainly was well-kept and clean. We didn't see as many animals as we would have liked -- they all have their hiding places -- but it was a delightful day with my hubby. They...More

Lots of walking so be prepared. Takes at least a whole day. So many attractions but my favorite is the butterfly exhibit. Sit calmly and quietly enough and butterflies will land on you. It happened to me. What could be better? Lots and lots to...More

Myself and my girlfriend are usually there for about 3-4 hours. It can be done faster or slower depending on those going and what you want to see.
