This was a nice place with lots of different sauces and stuff. The staff is very helpful and has lots of ideas and recipes. The prices are on the higher side.

We love stopping in here for a speciality salsa, jam, or grill rub. The staff is always so friendly and will open any item for you to sample. They are also very helpful with suggesting recipes. We always find something new and yummy to bring home! Also a great place to find unique gifts- wedding, hostess, or just because!

I've been to the American Spoon in Traverse City and its always fun to stop by American Spoon and sample from the tasting table. Today in Saugatuck they featured a recipe for Spicy Pimento Cheese made with their Chili Jam and it was really tasty. You can find the recipe on their website. It's always fun to find a new... More

This is a must stop in Sauatuck. Samples of jams, fruit spreads, fruit mustards, salsas and more, made from Michigan's bounty. We tried and purchased the cherry bbq grilling sauce, cranberry mustard, sour cherries and blueberry spoon fruit. Employee was helpful in explaining the difference in the wide array of products, what version has the least amount of sugar, how... More

We planned to purchase gelato and had a list of 6 other items and we were so upset that they removed the gelato that we ended up purchasing our gifts at the many other wonderful stores in Saugatuck.

Wandered into this quaint store with tastings of almost every product... Had to call my husband inside because the kind, knowledgeable owner steered me to a whole section of fruit spreads using local fruits that did not contain any added any sugar. Wow, we found some great blackberry jam! I also got some great sorbets there. Will try their BBQ... More

The in-store sampling of the jams/preserves/etc., definitely sold the product. The free tasting/sampling is a great marketing idea of their trusted product. After sampling a number of products, we narrowed it down to our top two favorite preserves, Black Raspberry, and Cherry Raspberry. I wish I would have thought of taking photos while we were inside the store (as I... More

A dear friend mentioned that she longed for the hard-to-find thistleberry jam and lo and behold--at a steep price, but nonetheless--it awaited us here, much to our friend's amazement and delight!
