Located on the campus of Northwestern Michigan College, the Dennos Museum Center offers an ongoing array of changing exhibits in the arts and sciences. The museum holds and exhibits one of the largest and most historically complete collections of stone sculpture, prints and drawings by the Inuit artists of the Canadian Arctic, in the United States. Its hands-on Discover Gallery features interactive engagement with the arts and sciences. The museum produces a concert series of blues, jazz and world music and other entertainment forms each year from September to May in the center’s 367 seat Milliken Auditorium and hosts performances by other community groups throughout the year.

Thank you for your positive comments about our Inuit Art Collection as you and so many others on Trip Advisor have noted. The collection is one of the largest, and likely the largest single public collection in the USA with over 1,500 works. This means...More

This is a nice place to spend a few hours. Check for visiting exhibits. They are usually wonderful. There is a small gift shop and a theater.

This museum gives you a sense of the local history and artists. It is definitely a great family site seeing stop. But be prepared to have a "lower paced" time, as it's not the hustle-bustle that one would expereince in downtown TC

A nice short stop after lunch that satisfied Mom's thirst for culture without too much whining from our teen, thanks to the coolest interactive gallery we've seen in a long time. Big city museums have nothing on this little gem. Check it out! Family of...More
