I am not from the area and bought tickets for me and a friend for a weekend get away. The weekend we were suppose to go I ended up getting sick. They would not extend my ticket or allow for a reimbursement.

We visited in early March, during a time when the Midwest had relatively little snowfall, respectively. Indianhead Mountain makes snow too, so it's adequately packed. However, there were areas, due to the warmer weather, that had to have warning flags for the melting spots. The one chair lift we were on had some bare spots on the exit that made... More

I left Minneapolis for a quick getaway to the Ironwood area for a full day of skiing at both Indianhead and Blackjack. I really wanted it to meet or exceed my expectations but sadly it didn't. The drive is about 4 hours which is the same to Lutsen. I stayed at the Americinn which was decent and had a great... More

I actually had a nice time at Indianhead, but the experience was made disappointing by the complete lack of signage on the ski runs and lifts. This isn't just a convenience thing, it is a safety issue that management needs to address. Not only are the trail names not clearly marked, but the trail rating signs are either missing or... More

Good place for beginners to rent and learn how to ski (based on my experience). Only was able to go on beginner trails at the time, but I will definitely be coming back to conquer the other trails! To get you back up the hills, the resort has a walk-on "escalator" ramp for the bunny hill and standing/sitting lifts for... More

It is a pretty small resort or that might just be because we went in late March and there were less runs open because it was melting. The chalet is pretty nice and it is good that they have the shuttle running to and from blackjack. The driver Rosie was really friendly!

I enjoyed the beautiful views and the hospitality at this resort. Everyone from the desk clerks to the rental staff were very friendly and helpful. The mountain had nice variety. The lodging was clean. My only suggestions are as follow: The bbq staff at the lodge at the bottom of the hill did not wear glloves when serving food. The... More

Indianhead is my favorite ski hill in this area - but the one thing that I'm always disappointed in is how slow the lifts are. The Sky Bar is always a hit, too.

Have always skied at Blackjack & enjoyed the runs & staff. But with the new ski partnership between Blackjack/ Indianhead, we decided to ski Indianhead this year. Overall, the snow quality and length of runs compared to other UP ski facilities outstanding. They seem to offer a wide range of runs for all levels of skiers. Voyagers Highway run is... More

My favorite in the UP/Midwest. Friendly staff, continued improvements on the facility itself (new updated baths at the Base Bar (Red Dog). Grooming operators are magicians.
