In addition, CDT is Minnesota’s only year-round musical theatre and the largest tourist attraction in Carver County. For as many times as I've been to Stevie Rays Comedy Cabaret (which shares the same building), this was the first time I have been to a play in the Chanhassen Dinner Theater. We saw Camelot, and it was lovely night from start to finish. First thing, the tickets were comps, donated by CDT to volunteers who rang the red... More

We went to see Camelot which was outstanding and very entertaining. Food was cold, dry and tasteless basically as a result of poor timing. Our group ordered sirloin, fish and chicken, which all exhibited the same symptoms. Dessert and coffee was very good. Probably will skip the dinner next time and just attend the show - Grease.

My return visit on a Tuesday to the Chanhassen (read that as yes I'd go back!) continues to deliver in food, drink and theater! Driving from literally the opposite corner of the metro area, we set out early arriving at about 5 pm. Our plan was to relax at the CDT in the bar area prior to the doors open... More

This was our first time at the dinner theatre, and it will not be our last. The food was excellent, we had the chicken chanhassen and the salmon, and our service was impeccable. The show was amazing.

The dinner theater always puts on a great show with talented folks, but some of the faciltiies are looking outdated or shabby and the menu could really use an overhaul. My advice: skip the dinner, just do dessert and a show.

Thank you for your review! We are so glad you enjoy the shows here. We take great pride in providing consistent professional musical theater productions. Just so you are updated: we are currently in the middle of a massive "rejuvenation" project where we are focusing on freshening up all of our public spaces. Also, our menu is re-worked twice a... I have been there many times and it is never disapointing, the shows are fantastic and so is the food. the staff has the timing down for serving but I would get there early so you can relax and enjoy all there is to see.

To start we had our wedding reception there over 30 years ago, so have a special place in our hearts for CDT. Had a holiday dinner and saw Camelot. Excellent production, superb acting, fine meal, and classic atmosphere made it a special night. Everyone should experience CDT at least once. The building itself is unique architecture. Make sure you stroll... More

My family--all of us--adore all things theater. The CDT is always a wonderful highlight for us! We've enjoyed some fantastic meals together, with A-One service and attention from the staff. To sit in a comfortable environment, eat a sumptuous meal, and--without moving a bit--seeing a Broadway-caliber stage performance is just marvelous! I think one of my favorites is the coffee... For her Christmas present, I took my 85 year old mom to lunch and the Andy and Bing Christmas concert. Lunch in the restaurant down in the lower level was awesome! She had the chicken and I had the burger. Both were very good! The concert was very well done. Ben Utecht can sing!!! Wow, I didn't know he had... More
