The only aquarium in the U.S. that focuses on freshwater exhibits, this three-story waterfront structure is ready for public viewing after a year and a half and almost $34 million. Plenty of interactive exhibits and re-created habitats are fun and educational for children.

This is a modern place with the usual assortment of tanks, exhibits, instructional shows by employees, etc. There are fish from other parts of the world, but the focus on more local fish (local as in upper midwest, great lakes, etc) makes for an interesting...More

Its a local fresh water aquarium so not as many colorful or large fish but entertaining non the less. Kind of expensive for a family at $15.00 a person for a publicly funded facility plus five bucks to park

We spent 3 fun filled hours with 4 adults and 3 youth. The aquarium is very clean and all the rooms are designed well. The large exhibit with petting the fish was most exciting and laughing out loud as the fish pass by and you...More

We had some time to fill so we decided to take in the Aquarium and we are glad we did. It was very interesting. We even learned a few things. The sturgeon area was fascinating. We did not have any children with us but there...More

Definitely good for about two hours, with kids of all ages. But it's fairly pricey and could use some expanding. My daughter enjoyed petting the sturgeons the most, but that was the main highlight (she's 3). There's a couple other cool tanks, and a fun...More

The wife and I brought our two younger kids with us. Plenty to do and see. We spent the morning here and then went to eat lunch. We came back to watch the shark feeding and then left to go on a boat tour. After...More
