The only aquarium in the U.S. that focuses on freshwater exhibits, this three-story waterfront structure is ready for public viewing after a year and a half and almost $34 million. Plenty of interactive exhibits and re-created habitats are fun and educational for children.

This was very fun to see the animals and facts! Was really cool to see them trying to feed the sharks.

We stopped here to stretch out legs traveling through Duluth. It was nice but a little spendy for 4 adults with 1 child. $5 parking too. We covered it easily in 2 hours.

Central location right on the waterfront. Interesting for adults and kids alike. Great Lakes marine life as well as history are covered here. You can walk here from downtown hotels, but in summer a trolley also stops here; quite convenient. We'll go back next time...More

This was a fun place to take the grand kids. They LOVED being able to touch the sturgeons. It was great for the grown-ups too. Nice exhibits- very clean and well maintained.

We had this aquarium in the list of top 5 attractions we wanted to visit in Duluth. But, it was not very impressive. We have visited a lot of better ones along the coastline of California. The shark feeding session was good. And the information...More

This is a modern place with the usual assortment of tanks, exhibits, instructional shows by employees, etc. There are fish from other parts of the world, but the focus on more local fish (local as in upper midwest, great lakes, etc) makes for an interesting...More

We went to the Great Lakes aquarium and I was really impressed. Much bigger inside than expected and it was just loaded with fish and other creatures. Lots of history on the great lakes, fresh water and salt water fish. My grandson loved petting the...More

Its a local fresh water aquarium so not as many colorful or large fish but entertaining non the less. Kind of expensive for a family at $15.00 a person for a publicly funded facility plus five bucks to park
