Definitely worth the drive and walk It was light raining so the view was misty and amazing. Took my wife and 2 dogs about 1 hr to walk the entire loop, with stops to enjoy the overlooks along the way. Trail is sometimes rugged but...More

This great hike that isn't too strenuous, shorter and has beautiful scenic vistas around every corner. We went right away in the morning in July and were the only ones on it for a while. The vistas were beautiful in July - imagine they are...More

There are several vista points along this easy trail, with views of the lake and the mountains to the north and west. Definitely worth the short drive up the hill from Hwy 61. Everyone knows this trail is not in Duluth, even though one has...More

If you come anytime April-late October, this is a great and easy hike. In the fall the views and tree colors are amongst the best anywhere.

We have hiked this trail twice now, and it is definitely worth the stop. There are many scenic overlooks and the hike itself is fairly intense. It seemed to go uphill the entire way, but it is worth it.

The Oberg Loop is a mostly easy hike that offers some beautiful views. The distance is short enough to tackle in just a few hours and the terrain is manageable enough for most people. Get there early to avoid the crowds and you won't be...More

That's a tricky time of year. The road is plowed to the parking lot for cross country skiing. The hiking trail up the mountain isn't groomed. Since much of the trail is rock, it can be very icy. Even in April a person can... More
