This modest house in Grand Rapids, Minnesota, was home to Judy Garland for her first four years. Come see where "Baby Gumm" got her start. We have over 3000 collector pieces in our Land of Oz including (but not limited to) the carriage from the movie! We also have a Children's museum with many hands on activities for kids that will get their imaginations going. It sports a bakery, firehall, dress-up area, "sand" pit, water table, maze, treehouse and much more! If you are a teacher, visit our website today to plan a field trip! Many of our field trips qualify for a grant that helps you come for free!

Whether you are a big Judy Garland Fan or only know her as Dorothy from Wizard of Oz, this stop is fun and filled with history. For your admission, you get to go into Judy's Birth home and see how people lived in the 20's (hello Icebox!) as well as a bunch of other memorabilia. We LOVED that President Abraham... More

Yes, it has a yellow brick road, sort of. The museum, and connected childrens' areas are good for families. There are lots of photos, artifacts and collections to view. The authentic carriage was impressive. Basically, this is a very positive, up-beat tribute to Judy Garland. The home was furnished in period style and it was fun to imagine the Gumm... More

My girls are 10 and 11. We were in Grand Rapids on other family business so we stopped for a couple hours here. It was $9/ea which I think was fair. The group does an excellent job with documenting the details of what was on display. We were all disappointed that the Ruby Slippers had been stolen from the museum... More

Very nicely done museum and restored house. You could tell that a lot of care, love, and attention to accuracy had been put into the restoration of Judy Garland's birthplace. Pleased we took the time to stop.

Didn't know what to expect but took grandkids (8 and 10) here on a rainy day. The kids were engaged as we went through the house and interested in the related displays. BUT what really got them involved was the children's discovery museum. We spent the remainder of the day totally engaged in all the activities to the point they... More

Good stop and museum was great. Lots of history and info. Nice gift shop too. My kids loved The Wizard Of Oz and still do, and now our grandchildren are enjoying it as well, pretty impressive for a movie made in 1939! Definitely worth stopping.
