World class scenery and terrain.

The ancient Sawtooth Mountains rise 1000 feet above the coast of Lake Superior-topography unlike any other Midwest locale. And that brings more of what you want in a ski trip. More runs. More elevation. More epic days. You'll find the very best Mid-America has to offer-the highest mountains, the most snow, and the breathtaking beauty of the North Shore. Lutsen offers 95 sweeping runs over four mountains with a lift-serviced vertical rise more than double that of other regional resorts.

My husband and I went to Lutsen Mountain for an early season skiing trip. We got a Ski and Stay package through Lutsen resort. Even though I mistakenly made the reservation for the wrong weekend, both the resort and the ski hill changed the reservation to let us stay the right weekend. The ski hill was just ok, very icey,... 21, 17 and 15 yo siblings took advantage of FREE skiing for #optoutside promotion. Thank you! Our family of 5 saved $350 in lift tickets. One had his own snowboard, one had her own skis but rented boots and another rented the basic ski gear package for $66-not bad. Only two lifts going today, so lines were about a 6... More

Lovely area but not much open this time of year (early October) until 4:00pm. Beautiful view of valley. The option of the sky ride & lifts is a plus, unfortunately my husband does not like heights so bypassed. Definitely a must see for the view.

Lutsen's 4 mountains with a diverse variety of skiing is perfect for everyone from beginner to seriously good. Their new gondola and high speed 6 person lift make all terrains easily available and way more skiing than standing in lines. What with Papa Charlies providing great nighttime entertainment and multiple chalets for food it's a great place to ski. Check... More

Stayed here a few nights during visit to the North Shore, served as a nice base of operations. Rooms not fancy but functional, and reasonably priced this time of year

We stayed at a town home at Caribou Highlands, Unit 510, and we had one other family with us. Easy access from the town home down a catwalk to the Caribou Express lift on Moose Mtn. Good snow, weather was actually good for January. Kids had fun doing some activities at the lodge but mainly skied. Many medium level runs... More

We visited Lutsen Mountain over Labor Day weekend. We were impressed with the knowledge and courtesy of the staff. The gondola ride was exciting and our young children loved it! We were especially pleased that our dog was welcome at Lutsen Mountain, on the gondola, and at the outside seating of the mountain top cafe. The food and drinks at... More

We went to Lutsen to ride the gondola and go alpine sledding. Both were outstanding, as was the view from the mountaintop restaurant where we enjoyed our picnic lunch outside. The view is outstanding!

Alpine slide was closed because it was wet in the morning... After lunch it opened to only one track. Tree on track. The line is ridiculous. Now the ski lift is off because it broke. No bathroom on top with an hour wait.the line is so long. Unlimited day pass is useless. Tram was nice but what a joke. Management... More

Thank you for taking the time to write your review. This past weekend our Alpine Slide was delayed due to the weather as we are not able to operate when there is moisture on the track and then did need to be closed for general maintenance. This was not our intent and we are sorry to hear that it had... More
