The Minneapolis Sculpture Garden is closed for renovation, and will reopen in June 2017. One of the crown jewels of the city’s park system, the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden unites two of Minnesota’s most cherished resources—its greenspace and its cultural life. A partnership with the Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board, the Garden is a top destination for tourists to enjoy art like the iconic Spoonbridge and Cherry in an outdoor park setting.

I feel like this park is a must see, because of the Spoonbridge and Cherry centerpiece and the view behind it, bit other than that it wasn’t much more to see. Do combine with the Walker Art Centre across the street to make your visit...More

I visited the Sculpture Garden before the remodeling. It was not curated in the most intuitive way. However, it is one the Twin Cities' landmarks and worth the visit. If you happen to be in Des Moine, the Pappajohn Sculpture Park is amazing. I love...More

Stumbled upon this while driving around. Fun place to take photos and explore. Parking was easy and there are other things to walk to from here- museum, food.

Great place to bring kids, elementary or middle school aged. We like to hand out in downtown Minneapolis and make it a point to walk from Nicolette ave to the garden. It’s s bit of a hike but not strenuous. It’s actually a lovely walk....More

Whether you're a tourist or long time resident of Minneapolis, this is a must see. The sculpture garden is free and a good place to go for a walk, stop by during lunch, or a picnic. Just across 94 from Loring Park and Basilica of...More

The gardens are interesting but not spectacular. There is miniature golf, which is more interesting. Otherwise not worth the visit!

Also, if you feel that it is too far a walk from wherever you are downtown, this from the Walker web site : Metro Transit bus lines are 4, 6, 12 & 25.

Yes it's free and you just walk around at your own pace. We got there early and found street parking very close. If it's busy I am not sure where to park.
