Campus in the big city

Enjoyed the environment of a melting pot of cultures in the heart of the Twin Cities. There is such a variety of experiences. From sports, to music to arts.

We walked around University of Minnesota most of the day, just taking it all in and learning about their graduate programs. Most everyone was friendly and helpful! We found out a lot of information and also loved that a train comes right through campus making it easy to get to and from there.

My son was considering this university so we went on a summer visit to check out the main campus. Was excited to see all the improvements that they were working, especially the on campus housing. I was especially impressed with the light rail system they put in with stimulus dollars in 2010. My son did not get in as he... More

One of the best schools in America. The Harvard of Minnesota. I went there. I learned things. Go there now.

We stayed on campus at The Commons. We asked for a campus map, we received a regional map of the area and the downtown area. We spent three nights and were on foot the entire time. The campus features architecture through several centuries. There is green space, and the urban feel along the transit line is energetic. We enjoyed exploring.... More

Touring the school, very nice campus with lots of green technology. The tour guides did a very nice job showing us around.

This campus sometimes gets a negative perception because it is in the city, but it is decent. There are some really nice buildings and the athletic venues are really good - pretty new football stadium that has a nice college feel. Mariucci Arena is a nice place to catch a hockey game. Parking can be tough sometimes, so give yourself... More

University is located Minneapolis and St.Paul. Has an interesting looking art museum that looks like the face of Megatron from movie Transformers.

Not a nice scenic campus at all - insane to try to park near or walk through. Restaurants nearby may be good but same issues with parking and then trying to find availability.
