Always a great place to get out of the car and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere. During the summer the lake is surrounded by people doing all kinds of entertainment. Clean, safe, and worth the walk around to see the sites.

Frozen. Shocked by how many people were enjoying despite temps below 0. Ice hockey rink. Several people fishing. Limited parking. Great walking trail

Lake Calhoun is worth visiting and spending the day walking, running, biking or roller blading. You can also rent kayaks, paddle boards or lay on the beach and swim. Bring a picnic and spend the day! Loved it!

Very clean and well cared for city lake. Walking and bike paths that go all the way around the lake. Beaches that are well kept with plenty of parking available.

I didn't pay anything. As everyone has mentioned, free to walk, picnic in the lawn etc. I didn't pay for my street parking.

I believe there are kayaks at Lake Calhoun. You can check the Minneapolis Park aboard site for the fee structure but I recall seeing them there.
