I was thrilled to find this independent bookstore owned by one of my favorite authors--Louise Erdrich. What a pleasure to go through the fine thoughtful selections. I really enjoyed the reviews posted by the books. I was awed to read book reviews hand written by Louise Erdrich herself. The staff was very helpful and willing to answer my many questions.... More

I had heard about this bookstore-owned by Louise Erdrich and set out to find it. It is in a lovely picturesque area of Minneapolis. Neighborhood appeal. Not your all round Barnes and Noble type--aimed more at native American books and other interesting areas. Interior is absolutely charming. Small and lovely and inviting. I would absolutely recommend visiting this sweet bookstore.

I am a fan of Louise Erdrich, so naturally when visiting Minneapolis I stopped into her store. I was very impressed by the environment of the store - partly made from real birchbark trees. It has beautiful artwork and jewelry made by Native americans and a good selection of books. My girlfriend and I spent the entire afternoon there.
