The view of St Anthony Falls in Minneapolis from the Stone Arch Bridge is a stunning view of the Mississippi River and Minneapolis. The Falls show the power of moving water . The Stone Arch Bridge is a pedestrian bridge for walkers, bikers, skaters and runners across the Mississippi River. The Falls are especially pretty at sunset. Walk to the... More

The entire neighborhood around St. Anthony Falls is full of history and great places to eat. The best way to see the falls is from Stone Arch Bridge, which is an experience in itself. Come 4th of July you can experience the great Red, White & Boom fireworks show, but be prepared for massive crowds!

The only true natural waterfall on the Mississippi River, the falls have shaped the development of Minneapolis in particular and Minnesota at large. Plenty of ways to get there either walking, biking, public transpo or driving it is just too easy to not take advantage of this excellent opportunity to view. There are plenty of other ancillary ways to develop... More

We parked along the park and walked the shore area as well as went on the bridge to see the falls. This is a really a great area for a run, ride a bike or just hike. The bridge that overlooks the falls is a pedestrian bridge. There are areas to go down under the bridge area and also lots... More

Along the riverbank they have history of everything including these falls. This is the only blip in the Mississippi River which I believe they call a cataract. These falls powered all the Mills in the late 1800s and early 1900s. Fabulous history reading about this on the riverbank

This is a pleasant diversion while strolling on the Mississippi. I love a good stroll on the river during the Summer.

First of all, it is not just a river, it is the Mississippi River. Second, you can really see that there were waterfalls and that is how the settlement began and grew into a major city (water power milling grain). Third, the Stone Arch Bridge affords a wonderful view and it is ALL-PEDESTRIAN & Bike (oh, and Segways). Spring, summer... More

Walking the Stone Arch Bridge, and taking in the view of St Anthony Falls is a must for any visitor to Minneapolis, and is equally beloved by Twin Cities residents. It is a great place for a walk, jog or bike. It is also a short walk to other downtown attractions, including the Guthrie Theater and Mill City Museum. While... More

I wish I had more time to spend on the stone arch bridge that spans the falls. Unfortunately, I just had a few minutes after checking into a nearby hotel. The falls offered me the first time I had of seeing the Mississippi River up close. You can walk the entire length of the bridge to check out the other... More

Take your bike, give yourself time, and leisurely enjoy the scenes in this area. As a local, I spend a lot of time up here when I'm looking for an enjoyable solo day in the summertime.
