Bridge is spectacular and I plan to return for another visit in the very near future. Next time I plan to photograph close up to the falls.

After getting on the right side of the river we were able to get a look at this. The staff was nice to tell us about other areas of the Mississippi River. It was a nice view to look at.

St. Anthony Falls are special for a few reasons. They are double falls, upper and lower. They are one of the few falls(5) on the Mississippi River. And they were first reported outside of the Native American world by a European, Father Hennepin. Plus they are also harnessed to provide electricity for the University of Minnesota. They are navigated using... More

We found these quite by accident walking along the Mississippi River. The information center is a treasure trove of history and how these Falls and the Lower Lock were crucial to the early flour industry of Minneapolis. Nice relaxing walk and sites.

The falls were important when Minneapolis was the four milling capital of America, now it is just a history lesson of the Mississippi river. The views from Stone Arch Bridge, and the history of that bridge are more exciting. Lovers like to stroll this bridge even late at night... a safe getaway and place to view downtown Minneapolis.

A must see, and a great time to stroll along the river. Great park attached, and a walk across the bridge is a must do.

I went to see the fall after I visited the Mill City Museum. The fall is bigger than I thought. This is my first time seeing such kind of fall, which is completely rebuilt by human (although the fall was originally a natural fall).

While in town visiting relatives. They took us here to see the falls and read about the history of the flour mills that were powered by the river. Nice walking trail and they have a few posters on the bridge explaining the history and the importance of the flour mills and the water power (falls) for the city during that... More

We walked across the bridge, the water was really flowing that day, it is quite a fantastic view. We attended a matinee play at the Guthrie along the falls, close to the Mill City Museum, too. It is a nice day visit.

My wife and I were in Minneapolis visiting friends and stopped by the Falls and walked around the circuit loop. It was a very pleasant walk that crossed two bridges across the river giving us nice views from both sides.
