Lake Harriet offers so much- biking, walking, running, sailing, kayak/canoe rental, sunset watching, swimming, and summertime music and movies. You can typically find a parking spot on the road along the lake.

quiet areas, crowds, dogs, eats, music, there is everything. Fairy houses are there, art car parades formal garden natural areas . The trolley is fun and unique, do it! Rent boats walk or bike but always wade in, throw stones, Enjoy!!

The paths, roads, and neighborhood in general around this lake are well-planned and scenic. The north beach area is nice with clear water and plenty of space for everyone. Right next door is the Bandshell.

This is a lovely lake to walk around, and if you'd like to do some wading or swimming there's a small beach that's groomed.

We ended up renting a 2-person kayak and spent about an hour on the lake and made it all the way around. The water was clear and the rental company was friendly and helpful to get people in and out of the kayaks. Wheel Fun...More
