Biking, swimming, kayaking, fishing, paddle boarding and eating. Lake Harriet’s north beach offers all of these. There are rentals available, several parking lots along the lake and many paths for walking or riding. We were very impressed with the neighborhood that surrounds the lake and...More

Roughly 2.5 miles around, in town, with paved paths separating walk-jog from bikers/roller-bladers, Safe and beautiful for multi-generation outings and features band-shell concerts in summer and canoeing/sailing. Picnic area at north end, swim at several established beaches.

We both walked and rented bikes to go around this lake. Beautiful views and amazing walking/biking paths. If you are wanting more than the Mall of America, you must take a jaunt around these lakes.
