Lake of the Isles was a favorite of mine when I lived in Minneapolis. It's an interesting walk, maybe three miles around. Tons of big old houses. My wife loved it.

Lake is the Isles is by far my favorite lake to walk around in Minneapolis. The atmosphere of this lake is quite different than others; it is relaxing, peaceful, calming, and quiet. Love this lake!

We canoed from Lake Calhoun to Lake of the Isles, and it was a lot of fun. We tied up to a dock and enjoyed a picnic dinner while watching the fish and turtles in the water. This is a great family outing.

We drove around the lake on the loop road. Busy with beach goers, sunbathers, paddle sports people, bikers and joggers. Many beautiful homes around the lake

There's free parking around the whole lake. Usually no problem finding a spot and you can start anywhere around the lake.
