If you are a history buff and architecture fan then this is worth a quick stop when in town. The inside is just amazing and you can feel the history.

I live in Minneapolis and have appreciated and enjoy the restoration of the clock faces on the hall tower. The color and the removal of the not-original red neon has taken it back to a classic look - which I sometimes mistake (the large face(s))...More

This classic facade hides some pretty normal city offices, but inside is a giant statue titled "Father of the Waters." It is worth a look if you are walking nearby. At one time the building was totally black from soot and smog. The granit was...More

An iconic structure in downtown Minneapolis with lite rail rolling past it, sort of. Looks somewhat like an ancient European stye castle with rich woods in the interior. I think there are ghosts roaming the hall at night.

Mpls city hall is a beautiful building, but best seen after dark when the rotunda is lit behind the stained glass windows - then it actually has ambiance. During the day it's an interesting, but dingy, building. The Father of Waters stature is in the...More

The place has been renovated and is in pristine condition. Inside is spectacular. Great marble. We stopped in for a minute and stayed a couple of hours.
