Visiting in the summer is a wonderful experience. The guided tours and railroad pie are very enjoyable. However touring the station done up for Christmas is not to be missed. There are so many fabulous things to see it's hard to know where to look when you enter each room. I think the best thing though is that it's all... More

There are two things you can't help but feel after visiting the McAdam Railway Station. One is how grand the railway was in its day, which you can feel by the majesty of the existing station and imagining the sixteen trains a day that came here. And, two is the fantastic community spirit in McAdam to keep the station "alive".... More

This place was totally unknown to us we had heard it was worth the drive to see it. We were not disappointed. The Station is spectaculiar and is a great place to visit. We were greeted by the most friendliest people you could imagine. They made us feel like members of the community the moment we walked thru the door... More

We were greeted at the door and it was explained what we could expect for the railway tour experiences offered. Full tour is the way to go...hands down! We started off by entering the Lunch Counter for a slice of "Railway Pie". The key is to go early for the best selection. Then came our full tour of every restored... More

we didn't know what to expect when we drove about 2 hours from eastport Me. Not much in the town itself, two places to eat that alternate when they are open but that being said the railway station and museum was great. A young girl let the tour, $6 canadian, and worth every cent.

Last seen about 5 years ago. Great progress has been made with the restoration and exhibits. Elsie gave us a great tour with lots of details about the history and operation of the station, the people and the community. Recommended as a family or group outing.

We had the pleasure of visiting the McAdam Railway Station after it was decorated for Christmas this year. The decorations were amazing and it was nice to walk through the rooms and see the history. I am from St. Andrews and it was neat to make the connection with my town and the railway in McAdam. The lunch room was... More

This attraction is actually worth a special trip from Fredericton, 70 kilometers away, not only if you are in the area. The train station is absolutely beautiful and has been lovingly restored. It was all decorated inside and out with a ton of Christmas decorations. Hot apple cider was nice and there were people in period costumes. A ton of... More

The station is a small town wonder. You cannot miss seeing this spectacular building when you pass through McAdam! It is being restored and offers tours to help with the restoration costs. We just toured this spectacular building. It was all decked out for an old fashioned Christmas! I recommend a tour to get the history behind this beautiful old railway station.

Our last long driving day after our 'world tour' of NB, PEI and NS involved crossing into the US at Vanceboro. We said goodbye to Canada here, stopping at the 'Visitor Centre' to use the usual facilities and their wi-fi. What a great, quaint and interesting place. Again we found civility and interest shown to us as visitors from the... More
