Wendy gave us so many details and facts about the family and the buildings on the site as well as how it related to the events of the time (late 1800's-early 1900's). Fascinating to learn how each president of this family-owned company contributed unique ideas...More

Excellent little brewery in a beautiful wooded setting. The tour is just a few bucks and includes a small flight at the end and one pint of your choice. There's also root beer for the kids and non-beer drinkers. Great little gift shop, but spendy.

After the history of the brewery which was very interesting, we took the tour, and ended in the taproom for beer sampling! The ultimate was the 1919 rootbeer!

The brewery tour is fascinating with a lot of local history and for the $5 tour fee you get to drink about $10 worth of beer at the end of the tour. Schell's makes some outstanding beers!
