We are members, love the museum ,educational classes and exhibits but one other wonderful option is the gift shop. Unique variety of item for all ages and interests- good shopping!

In addition to fossils, a mummy, and an exhibit on medical quackery, there’s a world class exhibit on human race and its history that shouldn’t be missed. Plus a very comprehensive area with both historical and modern artifacts from local Native American tribes.

If you have a membership, parking beneath the SMM is $5.00 anytime, but you do not have in/out parking privileges for that fee. And if you do not have a membership, the rates are still reasonable. There is also on-street... More

Yes no problem when we take a lunch we eat in the area across from where you buy your ticket to get in - they also have lockers where we have stored our lunch when needed

Yes! We left for lunch as well. You have a wristband. Try Cosettas down the street for lunch- it's awesome!
