Amazing exhibits and sales.

If you brave the creepy and cavernously empty Landmark Center you will find this remarkable little gallery on the second floor. One of the best surprises of our St Paul trip.

This small museum/gallery is located in the Landmark Center. Wood turning is more of an interest to my husband than to me, but it is impressive to see the works on display here. There is not an admission fee, you just walk through and spend as little or as much time as you like.

While visiting the Landmark Center, I stopped for a walk through this gallery. It was a small but lovely display of works done by accomplished woodturners. It gave some history about woodturning and had some examples of the different lathes used by the craftspeople. There is a small gift shop with some lovely items available for sale. I took home... As a woodturner all I can say is I hope to one day have as much skill as some of these fine men and women. Absolutely amazing design on some pieces that are purely pieces of art. It would be nice if they had woodturners working as gallery hosts to answer questions.

A real lesson in the uses of wood products for art, furniture, boxes, etc. Includes information about the history of wood and it's many uses. A small gallery, but certainly contains enough to whet the appetite. Also offers educational opportunities with local and national woodworkers. Some hands-on. Great!

I was wandering through the Landmark Center with time to kill when I came across this small museum/gallery devoted to woodworking with a lathe. It was surprisingly interesting. On display are various pieces by artists (for sale) showing the variety of styles. There are also some historic displays about the history of this type of woodworking, which goes back much... More

The Woodturners Gallery visit came at the recommendation of family in Minneapolis. It is a small gallery in the Landmark Center (a very cool building in itself) and is worth the trip. They have gallery exhibits, but also a small shop where you can buy very intricate ornaments, wooden bowls, spoons, rolling pins - lots of cool stuff - some... More

Well worth the trip up the stairs in the beautiful Landmark Center, make sure to check out this Woodturners Gallery. You'll be amazed at the creativity and artistic beauty possible with wood and a lathe.
