I can't believe I've lived in MN 30 years and just now visited Taylors Falls for the first time! The potholes and river gorge were beautiful. Well worth the hour drive from the Metro. The hiking trails are somewhat narrow. We visited on a weekday,...More

About an hours' drive from the Twin Cities area. Good for rock climbing, a couple of short hiking trails, and exploring glacial potholes.

This was a great afternoon trip with teenagers. Very interesting and lots of climbing, up very well marked paths and steps. Hand rails for safety and help up and down the stone steps. Pot holes were fascinating.

This park is absolutely amazing! Had a great time walking the trails and climbing on the rock formations. The views on the cliffs are awesome. We visited the park twice on our vacation, because our teenage boys loved climbing the rock formations.

Called with family for a short visit (couple of hours) and loved the rock formations, in particular the glacial potholes. Stunning views of the river in the gorge can be seen best if you're happy to do a little scrambling, fairly easy for most people....More

I went for a short day trip since we didn't have enough time to make a bigger trip up north. It wasn't the most challenging or jaw-dropping place I have hiked in Minnesota, but for a quick outing, it was fun, beautiful and worth the...More

Yes. The trail right outside the visitor center should be okay for her. My Mom is 67 and did all the trails. Even a bit of rock climbing (bouldering) too!
