Very nice and we'll maintained. Made homemade oatmeal cookies in the antique oven. Could be a little cool so bring a jacket. Great views and really interesting.

Whether you are interested in history, lighthouses, or hiking, you will enjoy this place. The scenery is beautiful, the staff is informative, and the trails are steep. There is a $10 fee.

Even if you don't camp here, you should at least take a part of your day to hike these trails and especially Day Hill. Views and the beaches are extraordinary and that is not an overstatement. We spent a few hours on the beach, taking...More

This state park has a beautiful historic lighthouse (which is well worth the money for the tour and the movie). The cliff where the lighthouse is located has a great view of the beautiful Lake Superior waters and shoreline. Beyond that, I would encourage visitors...More

I stop here whenever I venture up to Gooseberry Falls. It's beautiful and free so why not check it out? I wouldn't drive all the way up there just for this though, make it a part of a larger day of adventuring.

This state park not only has great views of the lighthouse, but it also has a lot of great hiking trails and picnic areas along Lake Superior. It is a great place to stop and soak in the beauty of the lake.

I know they charge admission to tour the lighthouse, but can you go here and hike trails and see the outside of the lighthouse without the fee? Is it worth going if you don't want to pay for a whole family to get in the lighthouse?
