WE were looking for places to look for agates. This is not the place. Hard to get to the beach, and not too many smaller stones here, only bigger ones( and not agates ). Great views of the lake, sunrises especially.

Great place to sit and watch the waves hit the rocks. Great view of a truly beautiful lake even on a dreary day.

Don't overlook this little-known "beach" 15 miles from Duluth. It's not the best place for hunting agates, but is an ideal way to get up close and personal with the big lake, likely without many/any other people around. Amazing to see the lake this way;...More

Stoney Point is a hidden gem. It's basically an outcropping of rocks on Lake Superior. The waves crashing along it's shores is a sight to behold along with the stacked rocks people build on their visits. I enjoy the quiet serenity of this place, but...More

There is not a more wonderful place to experience the moods of the big lake, from a slight ripple to enormous crashing waves, so don't miss this place!
