The park is pretty close to city yet it will make you feel miles from it. On the highest part of the park away from the river you can do plane spotting but fear not walk further in the trees and the sound of birds will swallow the noise of the jet plane. Take the suggested pathway available online at... More

Take the children there for a picnic. there are great areas for them to play. The par is huge with plenty of open space. The river Maribyrnong runs through it. There is a cafe thre but take a lunch with you. Plenty of toilet faccilioties and parking.

I took my 8 year old today for a picnic and walk. This has been a favorite of ours since she was born. Its green, quiet , with plenty of places to get away from the crowds. Lots of families having barbecues, playing sports , riding bikes.

Great venue for family gatherings/picnics, but make you bring everything you need and be prepared to take it all home with you. Bring some shade if it's going to be hot and your bat/ball!

This is an urban park with lots to do for all. There are quiet spaces to retreat, a fish-ladder, the river, adventure playgrounds, plenty of picnic spots, a Parks Victoria office and a cafe. It's a quiet, slow drive into a little bit of the country in the city.

Have visited here a few times with my children ages 6 & 9, and we all love it. The playground is fabulous, and my children love to collect sticks and build 'a house' against the frame that has been prebuilt. We all love walking down to the river, and climbing on the rocks. When you are down at the water,... More

The park itself is a great spot to see nature, go for a run, let kids run wild and relax. The avid aeroplane nut will love this place as most arrivals and departures track directly above the park offering a constant stream of aircraft to look at. The cafe food is quite highly priced and the coffee is hit and... More

I haven't been to this park in 15 years. The park has really grown. It offers a great low cost cafe, walking tracks and heaps of play equipment for kids to play on. Also has plenty of car spaces so you can visit the wonderful park Will be back soon!
