Having been to presidential homes like Mount Vernon and Andrew Jackson's house, I felt that Beauvoir was somewhat disappointing. The home itself was interesting, but I felt that our tour guide was a bit unusual and took too long in the narrative before allowing us...More

This was an excellent tour by a very knowledgeable docent. The home hasn't been modernized or updated like many historical homes of the era. Well with the stop and visit to the museum next door.

I enjoyed the tour of the house, and the museum had some interesting pieces. The Gift shop was nice as well. It was well worth the stop.

A beautiful piece of America's history. Not only for it being home of the one and only Confederate president but because of the architectural details and restorations. Worth the visit if in the area.

The tour was interesting and informative. If you like history it is worth taking the time to see. Not anything I would take young children to however.

Must visit if you are into history, particularly Southern. Tour guide knowledgeable and had lots of little insights into the time period that were new to us.
