Feels so much more authentic than blues places in major cities, even a different atmosphere than say Ground Zero or Reds in Clarksdale. Enjoy having drinks here with friends, and the shows like Big George Brock are wonderful.

We really did not get to experience anything but the outside of this building. We missed out on the Monday night of live music, although I wish that we had experienced it. I am not sure if this place regularly offers food or just hot...More

We love Clarksdale! We try out different places, and Hopson was on our list. We weren't disappointed! It is a huge building, exploding with old south decor you'll love to check out. We had a delicious lunch of hotdogs, cucumber salad and chips, free of...More

We stayed two nights at the Hopson Loft, a very special place next to the Hopson Commissary just south of town. It's a converted warehouse with a bedroom, loft room, and living and dining rooms that make you feel right at home. The place has...More

Real plantation commissary turned bar and live blues venue! Great hospitality from owners James & Cathy! Recommend staying in their Loft apartment made from old seed house!

The coolest place to be in the Delta. Not to miss the Sunset shack. A cosy, funny, cute little house at the end of the complex. We had the chance to be there while the cotton wasn't yet harvested, an additional charm to the place....More

We spent five days in the delta and our ten-year old's favorite memory of the trip was the two nights we spent in a shack! When we checked in, she was pretty hesitant but by the time we checked out, she was convinced that it...More

Yes the Shack Up Inn is on the Hobson Plantation......there is another place called the Commissary . Not far from town....both have music events but not every weekend. Always something to do or someone to talk to.
