This an outstanding capitol building. Amazing architecture and the way they use natural lighting is a highlight. Make sure you try to go on the tour with a guide, learn so much more that way and even get to go places that aren't always accessible to individuals. Our guide was amazing.

We thoroughly enjoyed the tour. The Mississippi legislature was due to convene in the afternoon but the Capital was still fairly quiet before lunch. We had a wonderful guide who knew every answer and was sensitive to my problem with stairs. We have decided to start adding state capital tours to future trips.

I stopped into the capitol and the employee at the visitor booth was extremely informative. She told me many interesting facts about the capitol, gave me a map so I could take a self guided tour, and she also offered me information on various other attractions in the area. The capitol is absolutely beautiful! Definitely worth visiting.

If this is not the most beautiful state capitol in the country, it has to be in the top three. Very interesting guided tour.

The Capitol building is beautiful just to walk through, but if you take the time (about an hour) to take the self-guided tour you will really appreciate the materials and methods used in the construction of this building. Just the information about the double dome structure and the gold leaf on the eagle is worth the trip. And, if you... More

The art glass alone makes this a worthy destination. Remarkable architectural features have been masterfully restored. Self-guided tours with a printed guide from the reception desk take you throughout the building, exploring its aesthetically rich elements.
