We really wanted to visit the Ruins and drove the specified directions but could not find them. We were greatly disappointed that there was no signage directing us.

Wow! This is pretty cool. You can't help but wonder more about this place. It is pretty much off the beaten path and in all honesty there really is not much to see. There is a chain linked fence around the ruins so photographing is...More

All that remains of Windsor Plantation are the columns and some iron work - the rest having been destroyed by a fire. A little ways away from any city or town, the ruins are maybe 500 feet off the road. You can park and walk...More

I kind of expected more, but was still intrigued by the story behind it. It's too bad for photographers that the site is fenced off, but totally understandable for safety reasons. If you're in the area, it's a pretty drive to see this and read...More

Windsor Ruins is a tragically beautiful piece of history. It is worth the trip. You can feel how grand this house was just by the ruins. Go, you wont regret it.
