Tishomingo SP has everything that other reviewers have said, hiking, biking and so forth. We did not see canoe rentals I'm guessing because the lake is 16' down and appears it will stay that way. We really enjoyed our stay here, it was very quite considering it was relatively busy on the weekend we stayed. The scenery was beautiful as... More

I have not hiked in Mississippi before and the Bear Creek Outcroppings Trail was rated as very good. It's not long, only 2+ miles but it was pretty cool. Crossing an old bridge is how the trail starts and ends.

Fantastic park, great hiking. Near the Swinging Bridge, built by the CCC in 1937, there is a very nice 2 mile loop trail. Rustic cabins for $65/night.

We finally got a pretty day and we headed to this state park from OB, MS. It took us about 2h to get here. Super easy drive. There is a $4 entrance fee for daily usage. (We never carry cash so we were lucky someone else had the 4 bucks). We drove to the swinging bridge parking lot and parked... More

We enjoyed walking around this park and enjoying some of it's trails! We went on the last Sunday in February and the park was pretty busy! There were lots of families enjoying the sunny day! There were also people walking there dogs and playing outdoor games! If you want peacefulness you could get that too as we walked a trail... More

Great park with many scenic views as Tishomigo State Park offers The Swinging Bridge. Much great scenery, good for family reunions Pictures. Much to do. Very clean upkeep with this State Park in Mississippi. Water. Places for children to play and enjoy. Cabin rentals for primitively based. Great attraction right off the trace.

Overall, Tishomingo was a nice place for family camping. We were disappointed in the low lake level and the size of the camping spots but the hiking trails were great!
